Eat Complex Carbs

These are the carbs that you should be eating! Yes some do contain sugar and starch but all is naturally occurring and in some cases, look at the glycemic load if you're on a calorie controlled diet. But they shouldn't be cut out and they should make up quite a bit of your diet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Leafy green veg, root veg, fruits, grains, wholemeal and whole foods. The list is endless. A quick guide would be is it 'whole' or has it been processed? If it's in it's natural state then yes, it's a 'good carb'. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Complex carbs are much easier to understand. They are packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and fibre which keeps you fuller for longer. So include these carbs in your diet but if you really are counting calories then just look up on the glycemic load which you'll find anywhere on the internet. Just type into google 'whats the glycemic load of a .......... and it'll give it to you straight away. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
