Simple carbs In a nutshell are over processed foods like ready meals and take aways, biscuits, crips, cakes, pastry, white pasta/bread/rice are all going to have a high glucose or starch content and are going to cause weight gain bottom line. Use Google to help you if you're unsure of a food and check out the glycemic load or index and the higher the number the worse it'll be. Yes, there will be exceptions but as a rule keep away from man made junk. Fruit, dried fruit etc will be higher but it also has a lot of vital minerals, vitamins and antioxidants so keep to a minimum or use as swaps because whole food is better than processed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
